Our land preparation was not a single task, but a process shaped by local conditions, timing challenges, and repeated effort. This story shares how we prepared the soil step by step, setting the stage for farming built on patience, planning, and respect for the land.

14 February 2026 marked the beginning of our preparation for the season, as we dispatched soil samples for professional testing, taking the time to truly understand the land's needs before any physical work began.

On 24 February 2026, we received the soil test report, which allowed us to adapt to the soil's natural profile by preparing a customized organic fertilizer plan on 25 February 2026.

Ground preparations picked up on 23 April 2026, when we sourced organic compost from local suppliers. The very next day, on 24 April 2026, we secured an adjacent plot on lease, expanding our space for the upcoming plantation.

On 1 May 2026, logistics presented a timing challenge. After waiting late into the night for a delayed transport vehicle, we successfully received and safely stored the planting materials, a strong reminder of the patience required in agriculture.

Actual ground work resumed on 22 May 2026, when the field was thoroughly watered. To ensure a clean, obstacle-free bed for the roots, manual effort was intensively applied to clear stones from the plot.

This was followed closely on 24 May 2026, when we used a rotavator to break the soil and scattered cow dung fertilizer to naturally enrich the earth.

The soil enrichment process continued on 25 May 2026, as we scattered the remaining organic fertilizer across the rest of the field.

On 26 May 2026, to blend the organic matter uniformly and finalize the bed, deep ploughing was completed across all zones using a tiller.

Finally, looking ahead to the long-term hydration of the crop, on 4 June 2026, we finalized and ordered a dedicated sprinkler irrigation system, selected as the optimal method to nourish the plants in the months to come.

Each step reinforced that strong farming outcomes begin with disciplined land preparation, patience, and respect for the process.
